Abe Lincoln is so yesterday. The penny should no longer be a picture of Abe Lincoln, but rather a picture of our country. I will say that Abe Lincoln did a lot for our country, no doubt. He deserves recognition for what he did, but he’s got a huge memorial in Washington D.C., and personally I think that suits him better than the penny. In all honesty, I don’t know too many people, if any, that would actually care what is printed on the penny because they don’t take the time to sit there and look at it. I think that there should be better ways to honor the presidents and people that mean so much to our country, and use the coins and even paper money to show a picture that doesn’t reflect a person, but rather reflects some object or place. Nonetheless it still should be something that is important to us.
We see our country, what it’s made up of, and who it’s made up of every day when we walk out our door into the world. Our country is more than just a picture, which is why I think that putting a picture of our country on the penny would suit us well. It’s enough to say we honor our country, which we do highly honor our country, but at the same time it’s a subtle way to honor it.
No matter which way you look at it, the penny could use an update. The paper money gets updated, yet the coins still have the same people. I think that a picture of our country would do us justice on the penny.

i think you could have started off not so right to the point. for example you could have stated a fact or a through in a quote maybe. but it is a good idea and i like that you mentioned that being printer on money doesnt show how great a person is.
a little short and direct, but i did like the persepective and the point that the people of our history should be honored in a better way. Just wish you "fancied" it up a ittle bit to make it a more interesting read
I do not believe you should assume what other people think because you dont know. Focus more on facts or what you think. Even so,I think having the country on the penny is a great idea.
like the broad idea of representing our country as opposed to sticking to just one persons face.
