Stephen King, for starters

I have had a real hard time trying to figure this out. After thinking about it for awhile I thought that maybe the Treasury should do something like what they have done with the quarter and nickel, where they change it every now and then and make it have some meaning.
I personally think maybe they should put different authors on the penny for awhile. It would be kind of cool if they started off with Stephen King. They could put a picture of him on the front of the coin and a jack-o’-lantern on the back. I suggest him because he has put out a lot of work and he is fairly well known. I also suggest him because he is one of my favorite writers.
The Treasury could hold a contest too, taking suggestions from the nation. That way they could get an idea of what everybody is thinking and maybe please some people. I think that this would be a good idea because then people would probably want to keep the penny around more than just for the reason that we need to make change. Collectors would also snatch them up.
My last thought on this is that maybe we should have companies sponsor the penny. They could pay a certain amount to have a limited amount of pennies made with their logo on one side and an ad or something significant to them on the other. They say that it is costing the government more to make a penny than a penny, so why not have somebody pay for it other than the tax payers. Plus the government could also use money from this to be put on the national debt.
