Lincoln stands for much

I think that Abraham Lincoln face should remain on the penny. I feel that it stands for more then just putting any old symbol on the coin. He is the first known United States President so it’s understandable why he would be on the first U.S. coin. Also I believe that a countries currency is a foreign matter which is known all over the world. People from governing countries know that this is how U.S. money looks and people understand that we have certain symbolic sayings, symbols, states, as well as our previous presidents faces that we put on our coins. I think if we were to change it I feel that it’s not only a change within our country but other people will soon realize the change. It also might loose some value because this is the format that we’ve been using for centuries; the symbolic meaning will be lost. I also don’t understand what would be so important and deserving of the honor of being on the U.S. penny other the preceding president who’s held the position for so long.

I liked this essay, however, I think you could go more in depth about maybe why Lincoln is so important and the significance of having him on the penny in the first place.

Good essay, right to the point. I think you may have had a few grammer mistakes but could be wrong.

I like the point.. but you could have gone into more detail as to why good ol'abe was so important to back up your point.. just the whole if it aint broke dont fix it thing wont really hold up, but i like how you almost clasify him as not just an American symbol but a global one, which i wouldn't have thought on my own but you have deffinetly convinced me of
